[Dramatic music featuring string instruments and piano]
Shot of map of Canada. The Face to Face virtual exhibition logo appears for a few seconds, then disappears.
[Sound of a crackling fire]
A text appears: “Since the early 21st century, soldiers from throughout Canada have been deployed to various continents.”
The text disappears. Dots, illustrating servicemen and women, appear and group themselves into nine locations: the sites of Canada’s military bases.
[Sound of bubbles bursting and wind blowing]
The dots move around, grouping themselves into a single dot bearing a red maple leaf, at Ottawa, Canada’s capital.
[Sound of a bubble bursting then gusting wind]
The map of Canada is replaced by a world map. Flight paths emanate from the dot located at Ottawa to five locations where Canadian Armed Forces members served in recent years (Operation REASSURANCE in Romania, Operation HESTIA in Haiti, Operation ATHENA in Afghanistan, Operation MOBILE in Libya and Operation IMPACT in Iraq).
[Sound of typewriter as the names of the missions appear, then sound of a crackling fire]
Text appears: “Humanitarian aid, combat and peacekeeping…these men and women have had to overcome many challenges.”
[Dramatic music gets louder]
The text disappears and, one by one, portraits appear: the 15 soldiers (13 men and 2 women), whose shared their stories on the website.
A text appears: “Through their accounts, discover the human experience behind each tactical operation.”
